The new avtaar of FF, Firefox 3 Release Candidate 3 is available on Mozilla website. A big feature of this version is that it is available in more than 45 languages. Being a release candidate it is not intended for everyone at this stage but as a public preview release intended for developer testing and community feedback.
It took English US Version of 7.14 MB download about one minute to land on my desktop. Installation was fairly easy except that I chose to select a different folder to install instead of overwriting my existing FF2 setup (on my Windows XP Machine, it is also available for Mac and Linux)
Firefox version 3 has new features more geared towards your security to verify site ownership, Malware protection, New SSL Error pages, better cookie restriction etc.
The feature I like the most is improved password management. You can now save password after you login to a site. For those who like to download a lot and have issues with partial downloads, I am sure new feature of resumable download will attract you to test out this new version!!
Read the release notes to learn all about new features, known bugs and troubleshooting Firefox 3 here.
So go ahead and test the new version (at your own risk at this stage) and share what you like or dislike about Firefox 3.
