I read this interesting article about Ashley Qualls on Yahoo today. She bought a website for $8 (worth mentioning that she borrowed the sum from her mom) which has now turned into a million dollar plus site with huge hits, and not to talk about revenue pouring in from advertisers.
This is indeed is a source for inspiration for all who dream of making it big in IT & Internet. Ashley Qualls is a 17 years old high school dropout.
1. Site is more than $1 million in value.
2. Ashley Qualls earns $70K plus each month.
3. She owns a website that attracts more than 7 million monthly visitors.
4. Her site Whateverlife.com get over 60 million page views.
How much do I wish that her site was hosted on my servers, at least I would have got some share out of this boom :)
I have recently joined virtual property business of bulk registration of domain names, and then broadcasting to the world and try to sell them off at a premium. Funny to notice how on sedo a 3 letter .com got sold for over $xxxxx's - For god sake, it was just a name, 3 letter domain name going for such a high amount. But better late than never, I didn't do that in the past, but I have started that now. Also with my reseller business I am getting domain name registered for really cheap price, and just hope that .IN TLD would pick up and become as popular as .com's.
